Elspeth, affectionately known as Eppie, passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on June 8, 2026, at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of Willard McLeod ("Bill") Morrison for 74 years.  Loving mother of Geoffrey David Donald Morrison (Patchara Chumpeetong Morrison).  Predeceased by sons John Ewen Morrison and Scott McLeod Morrison.  Cherished grandmother of Mintra Morrison (Alexander D'Aguilar) and Tara Morrison.  Dear sister of Jean Anderson and the late David Ballantyne.

Born in Montreal on November 7, 1929, Eppie was the daughter of David M. Ballantyne of Orkney, Scotland, and Ella M. Brown of Prince Edward Island.  A graduate of Montreal Protestant High School for Girls (1946) and Macdonald College of McGill University (1950), she enjoyed a career in teaching before dedicating herself to her family.

A talented pianist, painter, gardener, and exceptional cook, Eppie was know for her sharp wit and infectious smile, itelligence, fearless honesty, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.  After moving to Oakville in 1977, she became a proud resident of the community for nearly five decades.

Above all, Eppie will be remembered for the boundless and unconditional love she gave to her family throughout her life.

A private interment will take place at a future date at Trafalgar lawn Cemetery in Oakville, Ontario, where Eppie will be laid to rest in peace near her two sons.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
