It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elsie Beatrice Best (nee Samborski) on March 31, 2017 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Beloved wife of Ken Best (married over 50 years), loving mother to Derek, Carolyn and Kenny (and his wife Lori). Adored Nana to Harrison, Loren and Olivia. Dear sister of Eddie and Nancy. Elsie worked and raised her family in Oakville and was deeply loved by her family and friends. Her feisty spirit and love of life brought happiness to all that knew her. A special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton and at OTMH who worked tirelessly to give Elsie comfort in her final days. Your kindness and compassion was so appreciated! Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600) Oakville, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday and from 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be held at Walton Memorial Church, 2489 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association or to Walton Memorial Church.
