Peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday December 7, 2019 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Liz, beloved wife of John. Loving mother of Tara (Joel MacDonald), Vicky (Todd Nelson) and the late Simon (Merina Allan). Cherished Gran of Charlotte, Matthew, Rebecca, Liam, Brandon and Dustin. Loved sister of Terry Collins, Christine Martin, Ged Collins and Jacqueline Ann Howe. Liz will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her endless generosity and concern for others. Liz was a dedicated educator at Sheridan College, Oakville for over 20 years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 17, at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday December 18 at Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Parish, 1150 Monk's Passage, Oakville at 11 am. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Liz's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and nurses at Oakville Hospital for their compassionate care. If desired, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
