Predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Hans Schade, Liesel will be remembered for her elegance, grace and faith-filled life. Liesel was an adoring wife to Hans, their married life took them from Germany to Switzerland and then to Canada. Liesel was an artist and gifted at making a family home wherever they travelled. Her love of song, beautiful singing, and guitar playing will be missed. Liesel (Nana) had a song to celebrate every moment of life. Her life is celebrated by her sister Sixta (+Georges), her brother Uli (Riet), and predeceased by her brother Hans-Michael (Barbara). She was a loving mother whose spirit will live on in her sons Johannes (Dory)and Michael (Dee) and in her daughter Isabelle (Jim). Nana will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Stephanie (Peter),Cassandra, Christopher, the entire S.I.M.Club and by Emily and Sarah Lyons. She was a great-Nana to Madelyn(Coleman). Liesel was the former principal of the Deutsche Sprachschulen Etobicoke and a proud member of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the Masterworks Choir of Oakville, and for 35 years a member of St. Andrew Church Choir. Visitation will be held at The Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Wednesday July 2nd from 4:30 pm to 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St.Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 37 Reynold's Street, Oakville at 1p.m. on Thursday July 3rd. Interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, may we suggest a donation to either Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ontario, The Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
