Peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Ellie was the dearly loved mother of Patrick of Belleville, Sue Moffat and her husband Rob of Ancaster and Louise Harris of Burlington. She was predeceased by her loving husband Brad and her infant grandson Sean Wilson Moffat. A wonderful Nana to Ryan and Jamie Moffat and Brad (Dominique Curtis), Andrew and Patrick Harris. Ellie will also be missed by her little dog Roxy. Ellie was a longtime Oakville resident and a proud volunteer at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for over 50 years. Her family, her home, her friends and her community were the mainstays of a life well lived. Her children would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Kathy Gray for her many years of outstanding care, the staff and residents of the Kensington who were tremendous friends and support in the past few years and most recently the dedicated staff of 1 East at the Oakville Hospital. Cremation has taken place. At Ellie's request there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday November 13, 2009 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr St) Oakville, followed by a reception at the Kensington Retirement Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Foundations, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Tiny Paws Dog Rescue Canada (www.tpdr.ca) would be greatly appreciated.
