It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin Schwarz on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the age of 77. He passed away peacefully with his sister Erika at his side, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Slotkau, Kreis Konin, Poland and raised in West Germany, he was the son of the late Adolf and Ida (nee Pfeiffer) Schwarz. Predeceased by his sister Irmgard, and brother Erich; Edwin is survived by his sisters Erika and Ulricke, sister-in-law Mary Schwarz, cousins Edwin and Marta Zich, Adolf (Marian) Pfeiffer, Alfons (Elly) Pfeiffer, Irmi (Gerd) Lilienthal, the late Rudi (Helga) Schwarz, as well as many nieces and nephews. The funeral service for family and friends will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation taking place one hour prior.
