Peacefully and with dignity after a brief illness, in his 79th year. Originally from Montreal, Ted called Oakville home for the last 28 years. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Shirley (nee Polisena) for 58 years. A devoted father to Lynn (Rick) and Leslie, he cherished his grandchildren John and Shannon Clayton and Gillian and Eric Robinson, as well as his "grand-dog" Piper. After a long and successful career in the financial services industry, Ted hung up his tie to conquer the one athletic pursuit that escaped his mastery, but held his passion - golf. Along with his fondness for good scotch and a challenging crossword, Ted felt lucky to have fully enjoyed his retirement with Shirley, sharing a mutual love of travel and shopping for a great bargain. Ted will be missed by his many colleagues, friends, and fellow Masons. Those who wish to say their final farewell are welcome to visit from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West Oakville, Ontario. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held on Saturday for the immediate family. The family is grateful for the loving and comforting care Ted received in his last days and would appreciate any donations in lieu of flowers to be directed to the Ian Anderson House, Phone: (905) 337-8004 Fax: (905) 337-8006 e-mail: info@ianandersonhouse.com
