It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edna Marie Robinson peacefully on December 28, 2023. Marie, as she was affectionately known, was daughter to birth parents Edna Georgina Irvine (nee Hall) and Melville W. Irvine. After the passing of her mother before her second birthday, Marie was raised by her Aunt Sarah and Uncle Harry Hall. She is predeceased by her brothers Norman, Allan, and Murray, and survived by her sister Carol.

Marie's life journey began on Valentine's Day 1935 in Lindsay, Ontario, where she quickly became known for her infectious smile and compassionate nature.

A devoted wife to Ralph Robinson, Marie shared 64 years of love and companionship with her late husband, creating a home filled with laughter, caring, and cherished memories. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its triumphs, building a foundation of love that endures in the hearts of their family and the communities where they lived in Eastern Canada and Ontario.

At the center of Marie's life were her beloved children and their families. She is survived by her devoted son Doug Robinson (Vicky), her caring daughter Kathy Hannay (Duncan), and her adoring son Tom Robinson (Camille).

Marie's love and influence extended through the generations. She is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Cory, Lauren (Ryan), Mark (Kirsten), Valerie (Mike), Brandon (Katlynn), David, Sarah, Katelyn, Logan, and Skyler. Marie was also blessed with 7 great-grandchildren who brought an extra layer of delight to her life: Hailey, Lincoln, Ruben, Finlay, Claire, Landon and Malcolm.

Marie's passions were as diverse as her heart was vast. Whether tending to her garden, cooking up delicious meals for family gatherings, or participating in community events, she approached life with humility and a genuine love for people. Marie was a dedicated client services professional in a career that spanned over 30 years. She also enjoyed her monthly Red Hat Society meetings in Oakville, Ontario. Marie's smile was contagious, and her gentle touch was a comfort for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A memorial service to celebrate the remarkable life of Edna Marie Robinson will be held on Thursday January 4, 2024, at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, located at 64 Lakeshore Road, Oakville, Ontario. The service will commence at 11 am. In lieu of flowers and in Marie's honour, the family kindly requests donations to Halton-Peel Community Aphasia Programs in support of Evergreen Communication Therapy.

The family would also like to recognize both VIVA Retirement Communities Oakville and The Post Inn Village for their thoughtful and caring support, as well as the team at Toronto Western Hospital for their guidance and insights into Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA).

Marie Robinson will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and gratitude of those she touched throughout her journey.
