It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernice Duggan on March 4th at Wesburn Manor, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of John Matthew Duggan - deceased.

Bernice will be forever remembered for the love and devotion she had for her family and her faith in God. Her greatest joy was having her children near her and talking to them. During High School in Alexandria, Bernice was part of the Highland Dancers. They performed at various functions including a Scottish Review for a St. Andrews Concert. After finishing High School she worked for the Bell for 6 years. She married John in 1956 and they went to Europe where they started a family. Two years later they returned to Canada and she pursued a career as a loving mother and raised four children. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and listening to the radio in her spare time. Bernice was a deeply religious person and prayed for the souls of her children. For the last 7 years, Bernice struggled with dementia. The family would like to thank the many caregivers at Wesburn Manor for their exceptional care and support. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives and friends. We were blessed to have had her in our lives, she will be missed but never forgotten. There will be no visitation, however a funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 20, 2026 at St. Clements Parish, 409 Markland Drive, Etobicoke Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or CAMH (Dementia Research) in memory of Bernice.
