Our Beloved Wife, Mother and Oma, Edith Sos, 83, of Oakville, ON passed away surrounded by her loved ones November 1, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Edith is survived by her husband Koloman Sos of Oakville, ON and her three devoted children, Daniela Moore (John) from Thornton, ON, Nicole Porritt of Burlington, ON and Christian Sos of Mississauga, ON. She also leaves behind her 8 wonderful grandchildren whom she loved so dearly, Nicholas, Meaghan, Jeremy, Matthew, Rebecca, Abigail, Stephanie and Caleb. In Germany she leaves behind her brothers and sister Walter, Helmuth and Inge. She is predeceased by her parents Erna and Hans and her brother Wolfgang.
Edith was born in Rumburg, Germany on October 24, 1939. She was a loving and faithful Wife, Mother, Oma, Sister, Sister In Law, Aunt and Friend. Her smile and joy was always infectious and it would light up any room she was in.
Edith is now resting in the arms of her loving Saviour Jesus and it brings us great comfort to know she is with Him.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kazam, Ashley, Yolanda, Gillian and the incredible Palliative Team at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. Your love and care went above and beyond.
Friends are welcome to join the family at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home- 64 Lakeshore Drive West L6K 1E1 on Friday November 4, 2022 for visitation from 3-5pm and 7-9pm.
A Celebration of Edith's Life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Evangel Pentecostal Church at 1450 Rebeca Street Oakville ON at 10:00 am. Interment and reception to follow at Saint Volodymyr's Cemetery and also Saint Volodymyr's Cultural Center.
