It is with deep sadness we mourn the passing of Edith Cyr. She died peacefully surrounded by loving members of her family on Friday October 25th at Joseph Brant Hospital at the age of 90.

Edith was a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt who also had many friends who will miss her deeply. Many of us for our lifetime.

She is survived by her sister Isobel McCandless, her children Bev & Dan (Smith), Ben & Mae, Micky & Darlene, Danny, Patsy & Wayne (Stearns) and Richard & Maxine (predeceased). Dearly remembered and had many great memories with her grandchildren Meagan (Smith), Jessica (Cutler), Amy (Dunn), Adam, Micheal, Danielle (Goulet), Chelsea Claire, Jennifer (Stearns), Gessie (Stearns), Kayla and Andrea. She also has seven wonderful great-grandchildren and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Edith is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Charley. Predeceased by her siblings Mae Lovend, Jean Kibzey, Florence Trotier, Don Ouimet, Joe Ouimet, Betty Smith, Richard Ouimet and Carol Wilson.

Edith touched the lives of all that knew her and many thanks to the many folks whom expressed their admiration and kind words in the days since her passing. Thank you must also go to the nurses and doctors at Joseph Brant that took such interest and care of Edith.

Edith gave to charities regularly and in lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Burlington Food Bank and the Royal Canadian Legion Burlington Branch 60 Poppy Fund.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 31, 2024 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 5 pm to 8 pm.  Funeral service will be held in the chapel Friday November 1, 2024 at 1pm.
