IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dusan
Veljkovic
February 7, 1944 – April 25, 2022
Our dad and grandpa, Dusan Veljkovic, passed away on April 25 th , 2022 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
Dusan was born in Serbia, where he earned his engineering degree, starting a career that took him around the world, from Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, to Austria and Sweden. He was a skillful engineer, an established leader in the automotive industry, a wonderful husband, a devoted brother, a dedicated and loving father, but above all the best grandpa in the world!
Dusan encouraged and supported his children to seize opportunities for learning and careers anywhere in the world. He was proud to see them establish their lives in North America, and decided to spend his retirement in Burlington, Ontario, close to his children and their families. Together with his wife Lepa, Dusan devoted the retirement years to teaching his grandsons, Dushan and Filip, about math, machines, music, and world. Most recently, he was blessed with a wonderful little granddaughter, Marina.
In his own words, he had a "rich and wonderful life, fulfilled by his roles of husband, father and grandfather".
With love, his wife Lepa, sister Beba, son Ivan with wife Kika, daughter Irena with husband Federico, and grandchildren Dushan, Filip and Marina.
