Obituary

It is with profound sadness that Molly and Russell advise of the death of their beloved husband and father on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017. Duncan was the son of the late Alex and Julia Fraser and brother of the late Frank. He was born on the island of Millport, Scotland in 1945 and grew up in Glasgow before immigrating with Molly to New Brunswick in 1979. They spent 12 years ther and Russell was born in Fredericton. The family moved to Ontario in 1990 and they were very happy in Oakville. Duncan was a Master Bookbinder par excellence and had the privilege of working on books for the Queen, other members ot the Royal family, two Popes, and Canada's "royalty" Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe. He was a good friend to many, kind and supportive to all. Words cannot convey how much he will be missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn St., Oakville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Donations in memory of this good man may be made to the Transportation Program of the Canadian Cancer Society who provided us with almost 70 drives to and from hospitals in the course of Duncan's valiant 9-year battle with cancer. The family sends their thanks to the C.C.A.C., Acclaim Health and the wonderful P.S.W.'s who attended Duncan; the doctors and nurses who tried to help him over the years and all the other good folk – friends, family and neighbours – who were there for us. Donations to any Humane Society would also be appreciated. Please, no flowers due to allergies. You fought the fight of your life – now it's time to rest. God bless, Duncan, we love you. S.Y.O.T.O.S.
