IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy
Lockbaum
December 31, 1927 – January 23, 2020
Dorothy Doreen Lockbaum ( nee English ) passed away in Oakville on January 23rd, 2020 at the age of 92.Beloved wife to the late Robert and devoted mother to Michael, Roberta ( Carbone ), Pattie (Deceased ) Pam ( Monkhouse ) and John. Very proud grandmother to David, Andrew, Vicky, Taylor, Chris, Mark, Michael, Katie, Danny, Jenn, David, Carter, Eric and Amy. Great Grandmother to Dylan, Evan, Grace, Maddie, Cayla, Caityn, Leonardo, Mikey, Jack, Jakob, Emma, Matthew and Kingston. She is sadly missed.Mom loved the simple things in life, her children, grandchildren, tea, Jeopardy, garage sales, old homes, horses, horse racing long shots, Chinese food, a hard day's work and lazing about. She cherished her home, loved to drive and broke into a big smile when family came to visit. Not known as a great chef, she wrote a cook book, Dorothy's Fry Pan and Can Opener Cookbook. It is yet to be published. She made the best double fried egg sandwich on the planet. Never said good bye, but rather tootles. Gave advice freely and knew a thing or two. Never gave up on her knitting, was it a tea cozy or a hat, no matter. Would do anything for her children including giving them the shirt off her back. Loved Country and Western music, Harrowsmith Magazine, the Grand Olde Opry and anything else that reminded her of the farm. Never complained but had the right to do so. Proud, honest, caring, mom always did the best she knew how.In light of Covid 19 the family will grieve together but apart, mom and dad will rest together now and forever.
