Sadly, the family of Doris announces her passing on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with her children by her side. Doris was predeceased by Bill her loving husband of sixty years. She is survived by four devoted children: Cynthia (Mike) Marlatt, Sue (Dave) Allison, Scott (Pat) Abbiss and Tracey (Jeff) Pearcy. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren Lori Denniss, Sarah (John) Rushton, Jay (Claire- Louise) Morris, Nick Marlatt, Jason Adams, Erin (Tristan) Rees, Joshua Adams, Natasha, Tenleigh and Connor Pearcy. And was a very proud Great-Nana (Nani Dani) to Jack, Mia, Olivia and Thomas Rushton, Laurelle Denniss, Finley-Kate and Wyatt Morris. Doris was a kind and generous lady who devoted her life to her husband and children. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral service will be held in the Kopriva Chapel Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Dr. Massoud and to the nursing staff of the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (1E &4E) and to the compassionate nurses of 3E who cared for both Doris and her family during her difficult final days.
