Dorina peacefully passed on January 9, 2023, at the age of 91 years old, surrounded by her two children, four grandchildren and son-in-law and daughter-in-law, whom she lavished with love and kindness.

Dorina was an elegant woman full of life, strong and independent.  Her passions were her garden, cooking and real estate, but most importantly she was fiercely passionate about her family.  She, like many of her generation, immigrated from Italy with limited resources and language, but with the promise of a better life.  Her hard work and dedication throughout her life paved the way for her beloved children and grandchildren.

Survived by her daughter Carmela and son Robert.  Wonderful Nonna to Jason, Stefanie, Annalisa and Robbie, Mother-in- law to Richard and Tara and by her sister Lucia.  Loving aunt to Frank, Michael, Michele, Ida and Maria.  Predeceased by her loving husband, Mario, of over 45 years and first husband Vincenzo who passed away in 1965.  Predeceased by her brother Giovanni.

We are so grateful to the Doctors and staff at Trillium Mississauga Hospital, who helped us through some very difficult days and cared for Dorina who at end of life died with dignity. Special thanks to our Family Physician, Dr. Mirander who has been a constant source of kindness and support.  We are also grateful to the staff at Amica in Bronte where she lived for the last few years, who were helpful in providing a safe and caring environment.  Special thanks to Roza and Allison who were very special to her.

We will miss her beyond words.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 13, 2023 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville from 12 noon until 1 pm.  Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm in the chapel, followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honour to the Oakville Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
