It is with sadness that we announce the passing of D o nald Bruce MacNaughton on Friday , May 5 , 2023 at the Sunrise Senior Living , Oakville, at the age of 90.

Born Feb 10, 1933 in Montreal, to Athole Austin MacNaughton and Emily Kidder McLean. Beloved by his wife Ann, brother Angus ( d eceased) and Cathy . He will be greatly missed by his loving family . Children : Ian and wife Tracey, Sandy and wife Natalie, Neil and partner Lisa, and James ; Grand Children : Will (Michelle) , Davey (J ise on) , Tom (Olivia) , Rob (Emma) , Christopher (Chelsea), Andrew, Samantha (Thomas) , and Leah . Great-Grand Children : Masie and Ivy . Niece Gill and Nephew Andrew . Bruce will be missed by his extended family, many friends, and g olf buddies.

Bruce attended Roslyn Elementary in Westmount and Lakefield College School, Ontario. He optained his Chartered Account Degree – McGill 1961. He w orked with McDonald, Currie & Co., spent a year from 1962-63 working in England and joined Canada Starch in 19 68 as Controller, where he enjoyed a long career retiring as President in 1992. Bruce stayed connected with Lakefield College School for many years serving on the Board of Directors. Bruce spent his early years golfing and skiing in the Laurentians. Later with his family, they enjoyed summers in Eastern Townships on Lake Memph re magog, and winters skiing at Owl ' s H ead. In retirement , he enjoyed many days at Toronto Golf Club go lf ing with his buddies.

We will miss him dearly.

Service will be held Thursday May 11 , 2023 at 11 : 00am at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, followed by a reception. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's or Parkinson charities would be appreciated.
