It is with great sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Dolores Bruce (nee Korzenowski). She left us peacefully surrounded by family 9 October 2024.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Robert Bruce. Her sons Bob and Rick Bruce. Her daughter in law and the daughter she always wanted Barbara Bruce and her loving granddaughters who she absolutely adored and cherished, Lindsay, Courtney, Kallista and Katlyn.

She is predeceased by her son Donald Bruce and her father and mother Harry and Lena Korzenowski ( nee Korpan).

Dolores's faith, strength, kindness, wisdom and warmth were boundless. She faced every challenge with grace and dignity, always putting others before herself. She made her home a gathering place of love and devotion. Her strong faith in God, her smile, laughter and above all the love she shared so selflessly and generously are hallmarks of a life of significance.

While she is no longer with us in body, her spirit remains as a guiding light to all those who she touched positively on her life's journey.

Her family asks everyone who was impacted by her to honour her beautiful legacy by being kind, considerate, giving, respectful and spiritually connected.

The world lost a very special person in Dolores and is a little bit less because of that loss but far greater for having her for 83 years.

For all of us who mourn her loss we send all our love always to her in eternal peace.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Doctors,  Nurses and staff of both the Intensive Care Unit and the Palliative Care Unit of the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their kindness, care and support during the last 3 weeks of her life on earth.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block East of Kerr Street) Oakville from 6 pm – 8 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2024 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 181 Sewell Drive, Oakville at 1 pm.  Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.

Dolores was very gracious with her support of several charities in her lifetime. As such the family is asking in lieu of flowers, if you wish, please make a donation to a worthwhile charity close to your hearts in Dolores remembrance.
