(Longtime member of St. James Parish and retired from Ford Motor Company after 36 years of service)

Peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at home surrounded by his family with a valiant struggle for life in his 85th year. Dino, beloved husband of Adriana (Bernardi). Loved father of Carlo, Maria and Paola. Loved son of the late Maria and Carlo Bassi. Sister Rita, brothers Andrea and Bruno, all three deceased. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr St.) from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Rosary 8 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 231 Morden Road, Oakville. Interment to follow at St. Jude's Cemetery.
