Di Hardacre (nee Posadowski) passed peacefully at her home in Toronto. She is survived by her loving family: her son Simon, stepson Jeremy, stepdaughter Lauren (Jason), grandchildren Naomi and Desmond, niece Lisa.

Di was generous, witty & wonderfully forthright. She always made sure she had cash in her wallet to help the less fortunate. She was passionate about family, food, film, and philanthropy, providing tireless support to many local & national charitable organizations including:

AGO, Alzheimer Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Red Cross Society, Church of the Holy Trinity, Hot Docs, Kids Up Front Foundation, Oakville Community Foundation, Second Harvest, Shorefast Foundation, The Salvation Army, The Veritas Foundation, TIFF, World Animal Protection

Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet. Let it not be a death but completeness. Let love melt into memory and pain into songs. Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest. Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night. Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence. I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light you on your way.
