It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Denis Enrique Peyregatt (Papi) on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the age of 85, at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with loved ones by his side.

Denis was the beloved husband of 49 years to Celinda, loving father to Maritza (Tony), Denis (Tina), Claudia (Alan), and Robert, cherished grandfather to Matthew (Liz), Amanda, Marcelo, Cecilia (James), Anabella, and Noella, and dearest brother to Liliana (Johnnie), brother in law to Juan Carlos (Vicky) and Mirna, and darling uncle to Johnnie (Maria), Catherine (Aroldo), Carla (Richard) and Francis.

Born and raised by his parents Carlos and Irma in Chile, he later immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 31 with his young family in pursuit of opportunities.  A dedicated family man; he was later reunited in Canada with his parents, his sister and her family where they all created a wonderful life for generations to come.  A kind and joyful person, he leaves behind many fond memories of time spent with family and friends.

After retiring from a 30-year career at the Ford Motor Company, he enjoyed his passion for traveling, music, tennis, soccer, and sharing Chilean foods and wines with loved ones.  He will be missed by friends and family all over the world who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 11 am - 1 pm.  A Memorial service will be held in the chapel at 1 pm.
