It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of "Niri" on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the age of 82. Niri is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Bruno, and her two sons Loris (Genevieve) and Mario. Nonna was extremely proud of her five grandchildren, Charlene, Kirk, Bradley, Melissa and Mathew. She is also survived by her two brothers Annibale (Christina) of Italy and Angelo (Marisa). Zia Niri will be sorely missed by all her nieces and nephews, near and far. Visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday, June 20, 2014. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Jude's Cemetery, 258 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Myers of Credit Valley Hospital and the staff of loving nurses at Ian Anderson House who treated Mom with compassionate care during her brief stay. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Ian Anderson House so that they may be able to continue their care and support of families.
