In loving memory of our wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Debbie Toner (Northup) sadly passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the age of 57. Beloved wife of John Toner for nearly 39 years. Loving mother of Corinne Godinho (Joe), Lee-Ann Hofmann (Dean) and Troy Toner (Michelle). Doting grandmother to Jacob, Liam, Amanda, Nathan and Matthew. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Sue (Mike) and Janine (Steve) and brother, Rick (Lynn) and by many other loving relatives and friends, too numerous to list. Survived by her mother, Jean Northup. Debbie spent most of her 57 years residing in Oakville. While raising her family, she obtained her ECE and worked as a nursery school and daycare teacher and, later, worked in office administration/management. Debbie was a "people person" and dedicated much of her time to volunteering and helping others, which fit her well with her "gift of the gab". She will always be remembered for her optimistic outlook and her warm, loving heart. The family would like to thank the many who were involved in supporting her through her most difficult times. We are forever grateful for your support. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Funeral Service in the Kopriva Chapel at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010.
