IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David George
Schooling
February 12, 1939 – October 26, 2015
With heavy hearts, the family announces the death of David after a valiant battle with cancer. He died peacefully with his family by his side. David leaves his wife of 51 years, Pat, sons Richard (Jacqueline) and Graham (Katie), daughter Jennie (Kelly), and six grandchildren, Stephanie, Nathan, Madeline, Colin, Jillian and Gavin, all of whom he greatly loved. Born in Bognor Regis, England, David came to Canada with his young family soon after finishing medical school. After a brief stay in Toronto, he came to Oakville where he practiced as a respected family physician for over 40 years and as a Halton Coroner. Two of David's greatest interests were the pursuit of knowledge and experience of the outdoors. He achieved these through voracious reading, travel and especially his beloved cottage on Baptiste Lake. We will miss his guidance, intelligence and most of all his compassion for family, patients and friends. Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of his life at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville on Saturday, November 14 th at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to either Princess Margaret Hospital or the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.
