Long time resident of Oakville for 43 years, died peacefully with his loving family at his side on Sunday September 18, 2022 at the Carpenter House Hospice in Burlington.  Dave, loving husband of Linda for 56 years.  Adored father of Audrey (Rick Portiss) and Jason (Machiko Ujiie).  Cherished Poppy to Sophie (Portiss) and Kyle (Portiss), Caitlyn (Riendeau) and Ashlyn (Riendeau).  Dave also leaves his brother Richard, Albert (2015), Robert, Leonard and sister Brigid (Kane).  He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.  Visitation will be held on Saturday October 1, 2022 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 11am with a Celebration of Life service in the chapel at 1pm.  A reception will follow in the lounge. If desired, donations to Carpenter House Hospice in Dave's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
