On March 21, 2021, Dr. David Brian Mitchell Cartwright passed peacefully in Oakville at age 88. David was born on August 12, 1932 in Walkerton, Ontario to the late Herbert and Gladys (Mitchell) Cartwright. He graduated from the University of Toronto faculty of medicine in 1957, and practiced family medicine in Oakville for 30 years before retiring in 1987. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Jane (Hethrington) Cartwright, their three children, Heather, Deborah, and Andrew, grandchild Taylor, and two great-grandchildren. David was known for his passion for antique tools and love of backcountry canoe trips. He enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Lake of Bays. His family will greatly miss his quick wit and sense of adventure.
