Peacefully on Monday January 16, 2023 at Ian Anderson House, Oakville.  Loving husband to Linda for 58 years.  Predeceased by daughters Tracey (1971), and Jennifer Fernandes (2015).  Loving son of the late James and Evelyn McVety.  Cherished brother of Murray (Margaret Anne), Elizabeth Kellogg (the late David), the late Robert (survived by wife Patricia), Carol Kerr (Allan), and Brenda Orr (James).  He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, their families and his many friends.

David was a long-time employee of Bell Canada and was respected by his "Bell family."  He enjoyed his retirement travelling and spending time at the cottage on Wollaston Lake.  David was a quiet man who will be forever remembered for his generosity, his compassion and most of all his distinct hearty laugh.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
