In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the many thoughtful and compassionate health care professionals and staff at Wyndham Manor.

Larry grew up in NDG with his seven siblings and Montreal held an important place in his heart long after moving to the GTA in the late 1970s. He was a high school math teacher, a successful sales leader and an independent business owner.

Larry was a people person.  His love of family was second to none and he prioritized that over all else.  He was generous to a fault and was gregarious and outgoing.  He would make friends wherever he went, disarming with his charm and humour.  Whether on the golf course, at the grocery store, on his street, or even in the nursing home.  Larry found joy in helping those he loved and connecting with those he barely knew.

Larry enjoyed competing in sports and cards and was known to outsmart unsuspecting rookies while leveraging his keen wit, dry sense of humour and insistence on the finer points of grammar.  He was an exceptional hockey player, a skilled golfer and bridge player and a keen fisherman.  He played hockey at St. Lawrence, led the team in points and went the Frozen Four two years in a row.

Larry enjoyed many hours on the golf course and on the water fishing with friends and family - he looked forward to the annual May long weekend trip every year.  He was a tremendous cook and hosted many dinner parties, bridge tournaments, holiday family meals and fishing trip feasts, which will be long remembered.

Be at peace Dad…you gave us so much love and joy and have earned your rest.
