It is with heavy hearts and great sadness, that we say goodbye to David Robert Eve.
David passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Dave was a loving husband to his wife Catherine, and caring Father to Adrienne, Graham, Brian and Mitchell. Dave's Family meant the world to him.
David had a passion for historic cameras, particularly Leicas, and could often be found tinkering with and fixing them. He had several clients in the camera community, and was highly regarded for his ability to fix anything, regardless of how complex the problem may have been. The void he has left in the camera community is large. With Dave's extensive knowledge, and mechanical precision, He will be impossible to replace.
Though Dave never considered himself to be incredibly outgoing or social, the extensive group of friends he held states otherwise. He and his wife, Catherine, shared many memorable moments with good friends in Penetanguishene, Muskoka, Oakville and beyond. He will be missed for the laughter and pleasant times shared. He leaves very fond memories in his wake.
Above all, Dave will be missed by his loving family. He instilled a thirst for knowledge in each of his four children, and taught them that one can never learn too much. He was so proud of his children, and each of their accomplishments. The love, guidance and care that Dave shared will be deeply missed each and every day. We will forever cherish his memory.
The Eve Family would like to thank all friends and family that have reached out during this difficult time. The kind words and prayers have made this incredibly difficult time that much easier.
As Dave was a lover of all creatures great and small, donations to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a date that is yet to be determined.
