Born in Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland, David was the eldest son of David H. Eadie, Sr., and Janet Rankine Craig, both deceased.  His youngest sister Catherine still lives in Falkirk. He was  predeceased by his brother Robert and sister Elizabeth. David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean,  his son, Alan David, his daughter-in-law Tricia, and his daughter Fiona Lynn. David served in the City of Glasgow Police for eight years before emigrating to Canada with his wife in 1966.  He joined the Oakville Police Force before it became Halton Region Police Service and served there for nearly 24 years before retiring due to health problems. Following his retirement David  found great enjoyment in breeding and showing his beloved Corgis and, in later years by becoming a well-known international dog judge, visiting many overseas countries including New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, Cuba and Mexico as well as all over Canada. Many things interested David; music, books, darts and the history of Cuba and it's people.  He was a man of many parts with a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by those of us who loved him. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600), Oakville from 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the Kopriva chapel.
