David passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of Cheryl (Boxall) Etherington and the world’s best dad to Marci Bakker (Mike), Luanne Etherington, and Leo, his furry son.

He was dearly loved by his four grandchildren, Elle Bakker, Nolan Bakker, Brandon McWeeney, and Tyler McWeeney.

David’s kindness and humour will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Wellbrook Place for the love, care, and support they provided to David over the past three years.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on November 15, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Bronte Harbour Yacht Club, 2514 Lakeshore Road, West, Oakville, ON L6L 1H8
