Darin passed away September 29, 2023 surrounded by family at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, after a courageous 3-year battle with cancer.

He leaves behind his two children, Dana and Matthew, his brother Perry, sister Lorie Ann, his nieces and nephews and many friends. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Daisy.

Originally from Montreal, Darin lived all over the world including Calgary, Sydney (Australia), and Oakville, where he raised his children and formed lasting friendships. Following his graduation from Concordia University, Darin built an impressive career in the insurance industry that first took him to Toronto, then across the globe.

Darin was diagnosed in December 2020, shortly after the passing of his wife of over 30 years, Diane. We will miss him greatly but find comfort knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with our mother.

A scheduled visitation will be held Thursday, October 5th at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville from 3-5 and 7-9 pm with a service to be held Friday, October 6th @ 11 am for close friends and family. A reception will follow directly afterwards at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society. A special thanks to all of the medical staff at OTMH who provided outstanding care throughout his unwavering fight.
