It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Dan Marin on January 22, 2025, at the age of 63.

Born in Montreal, Quebec and raised in Oakville, Ontario, Dan was the eldest of four siblings. He was predeceased by his parents, Norm and Yvonne Marin, and is survived by his sisters Chantal (Tony), Michelle (Steve), and Joanne (George), as well as his much-loved nieces and nephews: Natalie, Nicholas, Jake, Paige, Zach, and Nicole. Dan also cherished and held a deep appreciation for his close-knit circle of friends, whose lifelong companionship and unwavering support meant the world to him 💖.

Dan had a deep appreciation for life's details and many passions, including restoring cars and motorcycles, skidooing, and collecting antiques. His sentimental nature was reflected in the cherished possessions he held onto and the memories he treasured most, particularly those tied to the family property on the Saint Lawrence River in Grosses-Roches, Quebec. What began as a beloved vacation spot during his childhood became a place where Dan, after taking over the property following his father's passing, created new memories and meaningful moments.

His artistic talent and strong independence led him to open PRO FINISH in 1980, where he specialized in industrial restoration. He took immense pride in his work and built strong connections within the industry.

In Dan's memory, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation . A private gathering will be held at a later date to honor his life.

Dan will be remembered for his creativity, independence, and the unique mark he left on those who knew and loved him.
