Constance by name, constant by nature.
Constance passed peacefully in Oakville with her family by her side, in the early morning on May 19, 2012 . Dearly beloved wife of the late Laurence Blair. Cherished mother of Gillian, Peter, Malcolm and the late Andrew Blair. Adored Grammy to Kristyn, William, Colin, Alexandra and Chloe, and sister to Joan Field of Dundas. Supremely talented artist, mother, teacher and friend to all. Constance led a rich and rewarding life from her early childhood in Toronto, through her education at St. Mildred's and the Ontario College of Art, to her marriage to Laurie and life in Port Credit. She was a wonderful mother to her 4 children, always there with support and guidance through many trials and triumphs. She met life's challenges head on, learning and gaining strength, adapting to be a comfort to all. Her final years spent at Chartwell in Oakville were happy and rewarding ones, where she taught art to fellow residents and led an active, fulfilling life. She was loved very much and will be missed by many. A Service to Celebrate Constance's Life will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905 844-2600) at 11:00 am Thursday May 24, 2012 with visitation one hour prior to service. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
