Peacefully with his family present at Northridge Long Term Care Centre in Oakville on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in his 99th year. Beloved husband for 62 years of the late Helen (nee Rogers), devoted father of Bob and his wife Lynda Hutchison, and Mary Ellen and her husband John Frederick, loving grandfather of Tim, Heather and her husband Lee, and loving great grandfather of Samantha, Chloey, Sebastian and Simon. Ben was a proud WWII Veteran and worked for many years with Canada Manpower in Windsor. Family and lifelong friends in Windsor and Burlington will miss Ben's love of life and wonderful sense of humour. The family of 'Mr. Ben' extend deep appreciation for the wonderful friendship, care and support provided by the staff and residents of Hearthstone and Northridge. Cremation and a private celebration of Ben's life are planned. If desired, donations of sympathy to your local humane society would be appreciated by the family.
