Passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with her son by her side, on Friday April 15, 2011 at the age of 91. She will be sadly missed by son Michael Ware (Bonnee) and daughters Anne Briggs (Simon Abbott) and Mary Dukovic. Predeceased by her husband John Briggs. Betty was most recently a resident at the Waterford Long Term Care Home and Queens Ave Retirement home where she made many friends. Betty was a long time resident of Niagara Falls and member of Lundy's Lane United Church and more recently a member of Maple Grove United Church, Oakville. Betty was Grandma to Michelle Burns (Ware), Jeff and Darryl Ware, Kristi, Tyler and Ryan Dukovic and had 6 great-grandchildren – Rebecca, Andrew and Matthew Burns, Rayla, Jakob and Owen Ware. A celebration of the life of Betty will be held at Maple Grove United Church on May 29, 2011 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Maple Grove United Church in her memory.
