In her sister's home, surrounded by her family and dearest friends, Catherine passed into her next world. She lived with cancer for over twenty years. This led her down an incredible path of new experiences and gave her the ability to pass these strength on to others.

She will be remembered for her joyful and courageous spirit, her positive attitude towards life and people. She was adventurous and always returned from her travels with exciting stories and new found knowledge.

Her spirit will continue to be loved by her dear sister Linda Hodd, brother-in-law Stephen, niece Alison(Rob), nephews Andrew(Michelle), Jonathan(Alexandra), great nieces Taylor Hodd, Elizabeth and Sarah White and Freya Hodd, Aunt Ethel Tomlinson, her cousins John Yates (Marion), John Maxwell (Marilyn), Judy Mackay (Ken) and Sue Lewis (David).

Through her illness journey, Catherine was supported by numerous friends. The family would like to thank her circle of special friends Tina, Bob, Mary, Heloisa, Sharon, Lesley, Sarah and Ellen who surrounded her with their constant love.

On Sunday February 15, between 2 and 4 PM, the family will receive visitors in Toronto, at St. Andrew's Club & Conference Centre, 150 King St, W at University, 27th Floor. A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall Street, Oakville, on Sunday March 1 at 2 pm with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, Catherine would be grateful for a donation to a charity of your choice or to Rebounders Canada, an organization that supports adult survivors of childhood cancer like the young woman she befriended at Princess Margaret Hospital. Donations through www.rebounders.ca
