Passed away peacefully on September 2, in her 94th year. Pre-deceased by Howard, her beloved husband of 63 years, in June 2005. Catherine is survived by her five children: Peter (Carol-Ann), Seanah, Paul (Deborah), Anne and Janet (Dennis), her grandchildren: Michael (Stephanie), Steven, Kevin (Natalie), Brian, the late Katherine, David, Alison and Lesley, as well as her great-grandchildren: Christian and Taylor. Catherine was devoted to her husband and children, taking pride in their accomplishments and offering unwavering support in their more difficult times. In her last days she exhibited the courage and good humour that exemplified the way she met all of life's challenges. The family would like to extend its sincere thanks to Dr. John Scott Hall and the staff of Cedarvale Lodge in Keswick, Ontario, whose kindness and professionalism were such a comfort to Catherine and her children. A Funeral Mass celebrating Catherine's life will be held at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville on Saturday, September 6 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Catherine would no doubt appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Médecins sans frontières (Doctors without Borders).
