Van Straalen Catharina On Tues, June 5, 2018 at Brantford General Hospital at the age of 90 Catharina (Cathy) Passed away peacefully in her sleep. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicolaas Van Straalen. Loving mother of Rick Van Straalen, Oma to Matthew and Ryan. Loving mother to Nancy Jablonski, Oma to Melanie, Carlie, Nicole the late Hannah and Krystal. Great Oma to Carson, Chloe and Xavier. Loving mother of Diane Woodham and husband Phil. Oma to Sean, Bradley and Stephanie. Great Oma to Ethan and Bailey. Daughter of Johanne and Geertruida-Weel-Knijn of Holland. She will be sadly missed by many family members and friends in Holland and Canada. Cathy was a long time member of the Hamilton Catholic Childrens Aid Society for over 30 years, and Catholic Women's league member in Oakville and Kitchener for a total of 60 years and a former member of St. Dominic Parish in Oakville. The family will receive visitors at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville Ontario L6K1E1 (905) 844-2600 - Friday June 8th 2018 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. The service will be held on Saturday June 9th 2018 @1030am at St. Gregory's Church Dr. Cambridge Ontario, N1S 3Z1 (519) 623-3111. Followed by a reception at the church. Interment to be held at St. Jude Cemetery - 258 Lakeshore Rd W at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Canadian Food for Children 1258 Lakeshore Rd. E.
