Surrounded by her children, Carolyn passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 89.

She was predeceased by her husband, and best friend Jim. She will be dearly missed by her son Ross (Janice) and daughter Margot. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Devon (Justin), Connor and Ryley (Derek); great-granddaughter Rory; and grandchildren Katherine (Justine) and Alex.

Born in New Brunswick, she eventually made her home in Oakville, where she lived for more than 40 years. Along the way she called several places home, and built a lifetime of lasting friendships. She had a passion for gardening and she loved entertaining and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed time spent sharing laughter and friendship around the table playing bridge and mahjong. Volunteering and giving back to her community was an important part of her life including Oakville Galleries, Oakville Symphony, and for 30 years, Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of doctors and nurses at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

Thank you to everyone who loved Carolyn and for keeping her in your thoughts. Your kindness and support means a lot to our family.

A private Celebration of Life will be held with friends and family at a later date.
