Caroline Biggars MacLellan, 97, of Oakville, Ontario, passed peacefully at home on Friday, July 22nd.

She is survived by her loving family: her son James William MacLellan of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, and daughter Adele Margaret Yeargan of Bethel, Connecticut.

Born in Montreal, Caroline attended school there and met her beloved husband, Bill.

Caroline’s family life was centred around Bill and their three children — James, Laura, and Adele. Their love of the outdoors led to many family skiing trips, camping excursions in the Maritimes, and later, wonderful travels to Europe and Asia.

There were so many things that brought Caroline joy:

Her love of cooking, home design, sewing, and needlework inspired her family.

Her passion for art — expressed through watercolours, charcoals, oils, acrylics, airbrushing, and mixed media — left a positive impression on all who knew her. She loved teaching art, and found deep fulfilment in sharing her creativity.

She and Bill delighted in entertaining friends and family, preparing gourmet meals and enjoying good food, wine and conversation.

Her enduring faith and devotion to the Anglican Church, along with her deep friendships with caring neighbours, were constants in her life.

She will be missed but forever remembered by all those she touched.

She is at peace in the arms of her Lord.

Information about upcoming plans to celebrate Caroline’s life will be provided when arrangements are complete.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Anglican Church, Sutton, Quebec.
