Passed away peacefully with her loving family close to her heart at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Sunday September 23, 2012. Carole was born on May 2, 1935 in Montreal. While working at Reynolds Aluminum she met Geoffrey, her beloved husband for 54 years. Carole will be sadly missed by son Stephen and his wife Karen and grandchildren Michael and Lauren, son Richard and his wife Barb and grandchildren Courtney and Andrew, and son Ken. She is survived by her sister Phyllis and predeceased by her sister Malvenia and brothers Billy and Bobby. Carole will always be remembered for never turning down an opportunity for a play, a lunch, a dinner, a bus trip, volunteering, if she could go somewhere or help someone, Carole was right there. She will be missed by everyone who came in contact with her, including all the friends at Tim Horton's, the Red Hat Ladies, Sir John Colbourne Center, Walton Memorial United Church and the friends from her many bus trips and social engagements. A Service to Celebrate Carole's Life will take place at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 26, 2012 followed by a small reception at Walton Memorial United Church, 2489 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville. The family would like to thank the caring nurses and doctors at OTMH who provided comfort to Carole. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oakville Hospital Foundation in memory of Carole Turner, where the family will establish a lasting memorial to Carole, would be appreciated.
