Carol gently passed away on October 8th, 2014, at the age of 76, from complications arising during her brief but determined fight with cancer. She'd no doubt be mildly annoyed at being denied another crack at shooting her age in golf, or wonder if she would still earn her commission on a pending house sale. Predeceased by her husband Murray Dempsey, her first husband Dr. Daniel Perey and her daughter Jacqueline Perey, she will be missed by the Perey, Dempsey and Roberts clans, including her son Andre (Megan), grandchildren Hannah and Isabelle, Behruze and Sensia; step-kids Karen (Colin), Kim and Greg and their children Devon, Simon and Queco; the Roberts sisters Anne, Barb, Pat and Nancy (Walter) and their children, spouses, and grandchildren. A long-time Oakville resident and real estate agent, and a nurse in her first career (Montreal General, Class of 1959), her life had many chapters, each filled with treasured characters and adventures. Through all of them she was admired for her grace, optimism and passion for life, in good times and in the face of adversity. We love you Carol. Rest in peace. A gathering of Carol's family, friends and colleagues will be held on Sunday, October 19th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at The Oakville Golf Club, 1154 Sixth Line, Oakville, Ontario to celebrate and remember her. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross or the Halton Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences can be sent to Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, ON, L6K 1E1 or at www.koprivataylor.com.
