It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Carol, in Oakville, ON. She died on March 12, 2015. She lost her wonderful husband Robert Bruce Massey in 2008, after 52 years of marriage. Carol was born in Quebec where she and Bruce raised their children and then moved to Oakville, ON in 1980. Carol had MS for over 30 years and bore her fight with great strength and dignity. Mom was an avid tennis and badminton player prior to MS. She went swimming twice a week and played bridge on a regular basis. Her first love was art, she was always working on one painting or another and participated in many workshops. She leaves her children Neill (Lancy), Michelle, Nancy, Sam (David). Grandchildren Melanie, Sydney, Bruce, Tyler, Julia, Dennis and Jay along with numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to give a very special "Thank You" to Mom's doctor, Dr. Gail McPherson, her nurse, Glennann and her loving care workers Alice and Buena. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society are greatly appreciated. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 19 @ 1:00 pm at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William St., Oakville, ON with a reception to follow in the Victoria Room at St. Jude's.
