Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of Carl Krebs announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the age of 49 peacefully at Ian Anderson House in Oakville. Carl will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 21 years, Lucy. He was the devoted , loving father of his son Kyle and his daughter Lindsay. Carl, originally from Thunder Bay was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Bernice Krebs. He is survived by his parents-in-law, Mike and Dora Armenti, his siblings Joe Krebs and Donna McClurg, Allan and Betty Krebs, Liane Strocen, George Krebs; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marlina and Steve Szarkowicz, Dino and Mary Armenti; his nieces and nephews Tara, Tyler and Terri, Collin, and Landon Krebs, Samantha Strocen, Frances, Margie and Xander Armenti. Special thanks to Dr. Strevel, Dr. Benjamin and Dr. McCann and all the nursing staff at Carlo Fidani Cancer Centre, Acclaim Health and CCAC. Pamela Bowes at Wellspring and all the kind caring staff and volunteers at Ian Anderson House. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday. Funeral service will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca St., Oakville on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 10:00 am with Father Michael Anderson officiating. Interment at St. Jude's Cemetery followed by reception at the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ian Anderson House, www.ianandersonhouse.com or Wellspring-Birmingham Gilgan House.
