Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Camillo "Cam" Molinaro at Aged Care Glen Oaks, Oakville, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the age of 94.
Beloved husband of Maria (née LoStracco), whom he married in 1961. Loving father of Vince (Elizabeth) Molinaro and Roberto (Maria) Molinaro. Cherished grandfather of Mateo (Zooni), Tomas, Alessia and Owen. Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States and Italy. He was also blessed with many lifelong friendships among his “paesani”. Predeceased by his brothers Luigi (Maria) Molinaro and Giuseppe (Gina) Molinaro and by his sister Santa (Enrico) Ventresca.

Born on May 1, 1932, in Torre Dei Nolfi, Provincia dell'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy, Camillo proudly completed his military service in Italy before immigrating to Canada and building a life in Hamilton, Ontario, centred on family, hard work and community. He enjoyed a long career in the automotive and manufacturing industries and was admired by all who knew him for his extraordinary work ethic. Camillo found great joy in growing his massive vegetable garden, making his homemade wine and following Serie A soccer. He also brought his competitive spirit to playing Italian card games with his grandchildren, creating many cherished family memories. A quiet man with a sharp wit, he maintained his wonderful sense of humour well into his nineties. A true gentleman, he will be missed and fondly remembered for his steady presence, humility, wisdom and devotion to his family.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff of Aged Care Glen Oaks Long-Term Care Facility and the team at Chartwell Retirement Residence in Oakville for their exceptional care, friendship and support.

Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ontario, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society Foundation of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton would be sincerely appreciated.
