BRIGITTA MARIANA MULLALLY
Gitta was born on July 31, 1940 in Toronto and died peacefully in Oakville on May 29, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary (Bornhoffer)and John Dinka, her brothers John and Carl, her brother-in-law Brian, her great nephew Gabriel and her beloved husband Ken. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Maureen Mullally, Patricia Dinka and Suzanne Dinka, 11 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, 4 great, great nephews and a great, great niece.
Oakville was Gitta's home for most of her life and she had deep local connections going as far back as her public-school days. She worked at Ford of Canada for 30 years and went on to own and manage Consulac Office Services.
Over the years Gitta and Ken travelled widely. The arts were always important and in recent years she developed her own talent as a painter and made many new friends through her art community. Her vibrant works reflect her love of flowers and bright colour. Books and newspapers were always nearby in her home, as were her cats. The bird feeders were always full. We will miss her great laugh, her style, her generosity, her sense of humour, her forthright approach to life.
When faced with recent severe health challenges , Gitta chose to enter hospital palliative care. This allowed her several gentle weeks to look back on a life well lived and to delight in visits with her family and many dear friends. Her room was filled with flowers and she was very grateful for the love and support she received.
In keeping with Gitta's wishes a small family gathering will be held. Donations in her memory may be made to the Oakville Humane Society or the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital .
