Beryle Mary Lane

On the stormy night of April 1st, Beryle Mary Lane passed away peacefully.

Bugsy, a name given to her by her sweet brother Ronnie, joins mother Edna and father Thomas from the sleepy little Yorkshire town of Appleton Wiske. She also joins her brothers Ron and Colin, who settled in the Burlington and Hamilton areas. Bugs also leaves behind a parade of characters, such as son Paul, his lovely wife Cathy and sons Matty and Jacko. Her beloved Calgarian daughter DD, husband Brian and children Abby and Keily. Last but certainly not least, her youngest son Philip who has settled in Boulder CO with his beautiful wife Kris and a ski team of sons Thomas, Theo, Jojo and Luc.

Beryle adored her children and grand children, she had a brilliantly British sense of humour and Beryle absolutely loved dogs. So much so, many might say she loved dogs more than people. She spent many years training and showing her three yellow labs Winston, Samantha and Ben.

One thing we believe is that Bugsy would be very pleased to have passed before Charles became King!? One thing we hope is that Bugs has found a beautiful outdoor cafe in Appleton Wiske, where the sun is shining and the light summer breeze carries the scent of freshly baked scones, and that her biggest decision of the day is whether to have another cup of tea or a Godiva Martini!?
