It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dina in her 91st year, on December 26, 2022. Peacefully, at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, surrounded by her devoted sons and family, Dina went on to rest.

Survived by her sons Joe and Dominic. An incredible mother-in- law to Michaela and Jan. Wonderful Nonna to Julia, Paola, Alana, Daniel and Olivia. Bisnonna to Miller, Jack, Francesca, Audrey, and Maddox. Predeceased by her loving husband, Luigi, of over 57 years. Beloved sister to Flora, and predeceased by her brothers Remo and Antonio.

We are so grateful to the Doctors and staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, who helped us through some very difficult days and cared for Dina with dignity and compassion up to and including her final hours. Special thanks to our Family Physician, Dr. Yates who has been a constant source of kindness and support.

Dina was a very special, strong, independent, loving woman, who was fiercely passionate about her family and her home. She, like many of her generation, immigrated from Italy with limited resources and language, but with the promise of a better life for her family. She was not afraid to learn through media programs to broaden her understanding about things beyond the village that she grew up in. Her hard work and dedication paved the way for the next generation.

Dina was an amazing cook! She was always drawing her family and friends in, and there were always warm and enticing aromas coming from her kitchen. She always had her grandchildren's favourite treats on-hand and was ready to make their favourite meals when they came to visit.

Dina had strong values and served her family tirelessly, nothing was too much for her to give.  The strength she had in her faith provided her much comfort in her final days.

We will miss her beyond words. We love you Nonna Dina. Baci da tutti noi

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 29, 2022 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held on Friday December 30, 2022 at Saint Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville at 10:30 am.  Entombment to follow at Glen Oaks Mausoleum.
