Died peacefully on September 23, 2009 at home in Oakville in his 78th year. He leaves his beloved wife Jane (Sturgeon) Armstrong of almost 52 years. Proud Father of Lynn (partner Paul Gibbons) Vancouver, B.C., Michael (Jessica), White Rock B.C, Ann (Jay Duffield) Toronto; grandchildren Jack and Bryn Armstrong, Jamie, Roz and Harry Duffield. Brother of Gail (Pepper) Nicholls, and Murray (predeceased) wife Marjorie of Sidney, B.C. Barry graduated in 1957 from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, he was a member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity and his career was spent in the computer industry. The family would like to thank Dr. David Thorneloe for his caring and compassion over the past 25 years. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr Street, 905-844-2600) from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Barry's life at 11a.m. Sunday, September 27, 2009 and a reception to follow the service.
